    Good e-reader?

    Im looking for a e-reader that will work with Ubuntu and is under $150.I will mostly be looking at .pdf files. Which one would you recommend?

    None of them are that cheap unless you get it used, but from what I've gathered they all seem to support PDF. At least the major ones do.

    install calibre from the repos or more preferably from its site.http://calibre-ebook.com/

    At the moment calibre has full support for the SONY PRS 300/500/505/600/700/900, Barnes & Noble Nook, Cybook Gen 3/Opus, Amazon Kindle 1/2/DX, Entourage Edge, Longshine ShineBook, Ectaco Jetbook, BeBook/BeBook Mini, Irex Illiad/DR1000, Foxit eSlick, PocketBook 360, Italica, eClicto, Iriver Story, Airis dBook, Hanvon N515, Binatone Readme, Teclast K3, SpringDesign Alex, Kobo Reader, various Android phones and the iPhone/iPad. In addition, using the Save to disk function you can use it with any ebook reader that exports itself as a USB disk.

    None. Buy a cheap laptop or netbook. E-readers are a waste of money.

    I totally disagree. What sets a good e-reader apart from a laptop, netbook, or Ipad is the E-ink displays that are as easy on the eyes as paper print. Furthermore, E-ink only draws power from the batteries when you turn pages.

    I tried, and by tried I mean I did a half assed google search, and by half assed google search I mean I typed "eread pdg"
