Super post, good to see a forum still alive and kicking since the initial post way back in 2007!!

I wanted share that I followed the guide (with few minor changes) and got the client to load on UBUNTU 10.10 MAVERICK

At present, i've only just configured the client with my novell server ip address and tree, as i'm home I cannot test. Will update tomorrow.
