I might be myopic but where did that article mention Ubuntu?

Nowhere but last I checked, Ubuntu is based on Linux or are we talking something else.

it sounds like only the rendering was done on linux. correct me if I'm wrong though.

I've only seen a mention to RHEL.

Thanks, that was my oversight, I got too much Ubuntu on my mind, title now changed to the right one.
