[SOLVED] Karmic/Evolution/CheckGmail/Gmail

I did a fresh install of Karmic Koala. Had to resetup my gmail account in evolution and setup checkgmail.

I can't get it to work like it did before. When the CheckGmail icon lights up i go to evolution to check my email but for the icon to unlight, I have to go into google>gmail>and delete the emails there. How do I get the icon to unlight after I delete the emails in Evolution Mail? It's probably really simple

First, I would make sure that both Evolution and Gmail are configured to use the IMAP protocol. Then make sure that your "Gmail checker" has a reasonably short refresh time (a minute or two, for instance).

Is Evolution set to synchronize all folders?

Tell me it wasn't that simple! I changed inboxes from the blue arrow to the red arrow (see attached pic) CheckGmail light now goes out! Hurray!
