Hmm. What is Openweather? Are we officially supposed to install that?
Currently my weather forecasts are very slow to show up in the notification area. And it takes ages from within GNOME-weather...
My Python packages throw a lot of errors as well currently.
Even AppStream is unhappy these days:
sudo appstreamcli refresh-cache --force --verbose
** (appstreamcli:6500): DEBUG:...
Hmm. False alarm. It might have to do with some small sheet of plastic that stuck in my HDMI port. Strange.
I can only enter Eoan via the safe-mode in GRUB. Plymouth isn't displayed anymore and the display goes black otherwise.
Any ideas?

PaulW2U, you did upgrade on baremetal?
Is it somewhat stable or the kind of crashy, crashy stable?
The combination GNOME and Firefox on 19.04 is faster than any GNOME before on my machine.
Can this be a Chrome issue? What about Chromium?
Well, one possibility would be to use gnome-mpv which draws a client
-side decoration. Mpv itself is cross platform and wants to stick to the Windows style server-side concept.
There was an update two days ago on the GNOME extension website. That might have fixed your problem, just update the extension.
It arrived in the release pocket today and should be fixed now.
I think that the new GDM 2.32 in the proposed pocket will fix the problem, once it makes it to the release pocket.
Just with Chromium?
Just on Xorg or on Wayland as well?
@dino99: Out of curiosity: does your LibreOffice install still work? It's probably not related but I just noticed that Libreoffice always crashes now for me:

Does somebody else experience this crash? I didn't experience it before during the cosmic development cycle.
amano@amano-desktop:~$ libreoffice --norestore

Thanks to Jeremy and Tim Lunn for providing the updated versions in the PPA!!
That works like a charm (at least after initial testing). I grabbed "Dekstop Icons" from the Gnome extensions website...
In the repo now ;)
Is ureadahead still supported in cosmic?
Or are we supposed to remove it?
I guess that the feature freeze is the main stopping point. The "desktop icon" extension would probably have the be "MIR"ed first before being merged to "main" as well.
The extension isn't fully...

A FFE ist filed for colord
I think that I remember from the ubuntu-desktop irc channel that Timo Aaltonen was going to update colord to 1.4.3 soon.
I don't know if that will fix your problem though. Disabling color profiles...
I think that this is a known bug and already fixed upstream. The fix has yet to land in Ubuntu though.
Try switching to another VT with ALT+F4 and back with ALT+F1. Maybe that's a workaround for...
Just to clarify: Using “proposed“ on the development version of Ubuntu is highly discouraged and can lead to major breakages.
Just in case that you did not know...
The pipewire blocking bug seems to be fixed now. I hope that we we will see a Pipewire 0.2.3 version soonish (tm) now and having it migrate to the Debian/Ubuntu world...
GNOME are really shaking out their long standing issues with 3.30: GDM was just updated to not stay in the background and hog your memory:...
